My Dear Friends:
Can we know when something is about to
happen? Does God give us warning signs? Is the dive in the stock
market something to look into? Is the earthquake in California
important? Is Y2K something to bring us into the new millennium?
A mother seems to know when her children need her. A grandmother
has spent many a night in prayer.
Are these warning sings?
Is the Lord giving us warning signs for the Pacific Northwest?
First, what is the PNW? The states of Washington, Oregon and
Idaho are considered To be the PNW. The most heathen, unchurched,
ungodly place in the United States of America. Only about 5%
of the population in the PNW even profess to be a Christian.
Even less than 5% attend church on a regular basis.
Now back to the warning signs.
Case Number 1:
More than once in the meetings we have been holding around the
PNW, something has been happening with the children. One evening,
about 30 children ran to the front of the altar. They saw something
we adults did not see. Some saw a golden glow, like a cloud,
all over the room Some saw a bright white light. Some saw what
they described as angels. They all sang and praised the Lord
for over an hour. As they sang, their faces shone like angel's
faces. They sang and prayed and cried in a heavenly language.
Then, they ran into the congregation and prayed for the adults.
As they did, many were touched by the Lord. Some were healed,
some were delivered, some were saved . All knew the Lord was
doing something. To this day, some of the children still see
that glory.
Case No. 2
The fire department received a call that a church was on fire.
As they came, they knew this could be a big fire. The church
was on a hill, so all could see the fire. Firemen heard a noise
inside the building, and knowing that it was filled with people,
they were expecting the worst. They ran in to save lives. They
ran in to put out the fire. They ran in to do their job. What
they saw was not what they expected. The 200 plus people were
not screaming, but singing. They were not in pain but in peace
and great joy. The golden glow was the fire of God, not the fire
of man. We could not see the fire they saw from the outside.
Man saw it from the outside. Could this be what happened to Moses
when the glory came? He wist not his face shone.
Case No. 3
A man is tired from the day's work. He is young, married, with
children. He can't seem to cope with his load in life. He lies
down on the couch to have his beer & watch TV. All of a sudden,
his body starts to shake. All of a sudden, a presence comes into
his living room. All of a sudden, the desperation of life hits
him. He tries to shake it off. He tries to drink it off, by having
more beer. Then, he starts to cry and jumps up. His wife comes
in. She is worried he will go and hurt himself. She asks,"Honey,
were are you going? Is something wrong? What happened to make
you so upset?" He is fighting back the tears now. The answer
he gives sets her on the floor. "Honey, I don't understand
it. I don't know what's happening to me. I just know I have to
go to that church down the street where they are holding those
meetings, and get saved." He runs to the church, his heart
pounding, hoping it isn't too late. As he comes in, a person
greets him , and asks if he could help him. The young man asked
the wonderful question. What must I do to get saved?
Case NO. 4
A mother is washing dishes after she had served her family. She
was tired from the day. The demands of her job, her husband,
her children were becoming a burden. She looks up to heaven.
She had not prayed much before, but something was different.
"Oh, Lord, I don't know if You can hear me, but there must
be something more. I need help. Can You help me?" She said
she had to leave and go across the street to the Presbyterian
church that was holding extended meetings and give her heart
to Jesus.
As she left the house, she did not walk, she ran to church. She
had never been in this church before. About 200 were there that
night. People were running to the altar to touch the Lord Shaking
with fear of the unknown and with excitement, as she entered
the sanctuary, a friend asked if she could help. With tears in
her eyes, she asked that wonderful question, "What must
I do to get saved?"
Case No. 5
Six mighty men of God, from around the world, have the same vision.
They did not know each other, but the Lord knows them. One is
from Lagos, Nigeria Two are from ganda.
One is from Zimbabwe One is from South Africa One is from Ireland
All are ministers of the Word. All are being used mightily by
God. All are very busy. Pastor Victor has started bout 7 churches
in Nigeria Pastor David's church is in revival, 7 days a week,
24 hours a day. Pastor Jackson's church is 15,000 now and touching
his nation. Pastor Douglas is called to set his nation on fire
for God. Pastor Iann has worked with some of the best ministers
in the world. Pastor Keith, from Ireland, came from the world
as a reporter. Now he will report what God is doing. They all
came to the PNW. Pastor Jackson exhorts the congregation, "Army
of God, wake up! This is the revival that is going on around
the world." They all left their busy schedules to speak
forth the revival. PNW wake up! God is bringing in His best warriors.
They all said the Lord showed them this revival. That is why
the came.
Case No. 6
About 300 people got caught up with the love of the Lord. They
came from all over the world. They came to bring a thanksgiving
offering. They came to love on the Lord. As their hearts soared
to the Lord, something happened No words can describe. The word
says God inhabits the praises of His people. That is the only
thing that could explain that night. As we sang, Jesus healed.
As we sang , Jesus encouraged the hurting. As we sang, Jesus
delivered many from the pain in their life. Jesus never seemed
so close as He did that night. No one was leading; no one was
following a list of songs. No one wanted to leave. No one complained.
We just stood in awe, till after midnight, watching the glory
of the Lord. It was like a glory cloud rested on us. We will
never be the same.
Case No. 7 Marysville WA
It was the last night at North Country Chapel. We had been in
prayer all day. This was the last of 33 services and we knew
God was there. Some had been praying all night. Wendy Perez was
singing. While she was singing, the Lord had me whisper in her
ear. "Wendy, sing your new song. Dig deep into your well.
Dig deeper than ever before, and sing your new song." Oh,
I want to tell you, we never heard such singing. She soared with
the angels that night. She sang to Jesus, as only a bride can
sing. She wasn't singing to any man she was singing to a KING!
As she sang, the Lord had me turn to Benny Perez and say, "the
Lord wants to call out miracles. Will you have the courage to
call out whatever the Lord tells you?" Oh, what a night
it was! Miracle after miracle, healing after healing. All over
the place. A little boy ran the to altar shouting, "I can
hear, I can hear." Another man ran to the altar, and said
the same thing. Hips were healed. Backs were healed. A women
who was paralyzed from a stroke, and could not use her
hand, was immediately and totally healed. Oh, I just want to
praise the Lord!
Friends, I have a simple request for you. If you are not a Christian,
please, do not be offended by this letter. I don't ask you to
pray for us, but cheer us on. It is your friends that we help.
We are the ones who care for them when they are sick. When they
have no place to go, we pick them up. When they have gone too
far on drugs, we are there with no condemnation.. Remember, you
need the good guys to do their job, so wish us well and cheer
us on. If you have been hurt in church or by another Christian,
please, forgive us. We are only human just like you. Somebody
has to do this job. Some of us are trying the hardest we know
how to make this world a better place
to live in..
Now, friends, if you are a Christian, please, pray for the Pacific
Northwest. Again the Pacific Northwest is Washington, Oregon
and Idaho, in the United States of America. The population is
about 10 million people. There are less than 1 million Christians
in the PNW. This may sound funny, but I get more complaints from
Christians than on-Christians. Please, don't write me and say
you are too busy. The Lord is about to move in this area. All
we need is that one last push through. That one last strong hold
to fall for Jesus. We ask God all the time if He is moving anywhere.
If He is moving in your church, I rejoice with you. If He isn't,
we will partner with you, and I will have my team pray for your
church, if you e-mail us. I know this will be one of the greatest
revivals mankind has ever seen. If you don't have time right
now, remember us this Sunday. Remember us in your prayer meetings.
Remember us in your Bible studies. When someone asks for a prayer
request, and you feel that dead silence, remember this e-mail.
And say, "Let's pray for Jerry and his team in the Pacific
Northwest." Friends, if this makes you upset or angry, that
is not my intention. I am so excited about what the Lord is
doing I just have to tell as many as I can. Please, remember
I am only a delete button away for now. If this letter did upset
you, hit that button real hard. We are all part of the same body
of Christ, and we will be there if or when you need us. Till
we see each other in Heaven. I pray blessings on you and your
family.
For those of you whom I haven't gotten back to, please, forgive me. I am working as many hours as I can. I really have been busy. We have had almost 400 services this year. We started a Bible College Correspondence School. We are starting a TV studio. We are planning a crusade in Africa. We have seen almost 4,000 people come the Lord this year alone.
May the Commanded Blessing of God be upon you and yours.
